In a move to continue to deliver value-adding services to the rail industry, Unipart Rail and Lucchini RS Group have announced a new Joint Venture – LUR Ltd – to cover the railway wheel, wheelsets and bogie activities of both companies.
The business, which will bring together the entire Lucchini UK operations in Manchester and the Unipart Rail Bogie overhaul activities in Doncaster, will create a business of around £60m (€75m) turnover.
