Unipart Rail as route to market for SMEs

Tags: Business News Value - Increased Digital Value - Increased Performance Value - Innovation Value - Optimised Cost Value - Reduced Risk

It's safe to say it's difficult to introduce and commercialise new and innovative ideas and technology into the rail sector - even if it's with a technology that can transform the way it operates and brings significant benefits all its users. Which is why Unipart Rail and its partners, as an integral part of UKRRIN is looking to support SMEs in bringing new innovations to market.

UKRRIN - United Kingdom Rail Research and Innovation Network - joins up academia, SMEs and the rail industry in a single organisation. One that's designed to fast-track great technologies from academia and SMEs into the railways to drive up performance, reduce risk and optimise benefits to rail users.

The UKRRIN annual conference will take place at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre on Thursday 21st November. As well as the three Centres of Excellence (Birmingham: Digital, Huddersfield: Rolling Stock, and Southampton: Infrastructure) and the Testing Centres, Unipart Rail will be at the event to showcase how we can support SME's to deliver newly created and existing technology onto the rail network.
