Fundraising for Shine Bright charity

Remembering our colleague

When a colleague in Crewe lost her fight with breast cancer, it was a big loss to many in the business who had worked with her over her twenty years with us, and colleagues wanted to mark their respect to her.

In memory of her, we have raised funds for the Shine Bright charity which supports women with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and their families. Through a range of activities including a tombola and dress down day, we raised £283.20, which included a contribution from the company.

Shine Bright offer raki and treatments to those fighting the disease after chemo treatments, and support the emotional and mental well-being of people living with cancer.

Carole Etchells who led the fundraising said "Jacky from Shine Bright said she would use £100 of the money to make up 4 gift bags that are full of practical and useful things that someone can use after treatment.  The rest will go to research. We all miss Lisa very much and it's comforting to know that we can help others going through such a difficult time."
