On Wednesday 24th November, Unipart Rail were delighted to host a group of delegates from Germany at our Head Office in Doncaster.
Coordinated by Business Doncaster, the delegates were on a tour of the Doncaster area designed to showcase the excellent variety of innovations, developments and businesses within the region.
The visit took place in the new UKRRIN (UK Rail Research and Innovation Network) Technology and Innovation Hub which was launched in September. The guests were provided with a tour of the facility which showcases a variety of innovations and technologies from within the Unipart Group of Companies including Instrumentel, Park Signalling and Metlase as well as from the UKRRIN Universities and Partners.
Led by Unipart Rail, the Hub will support the sector in translating academic research and innovation to solve strategic industry challenges and to enable and develop the next generation of products and services.
Guests included representatives from Schaltbau Bode, Pintsch, Funkwerk, GMT and Niedax; as well as Glyn Jones, Deputy Mayor of Doncaster.
