Saturday 16th November 2019 saw Park Signalling attending the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) Minor Railways Section, Biennial Technical Seminar at the Kidderminster Railway Museum in Worcestershire. The Senior Vice President of the IRSE, Dr Daniel Woodland, was also in attendance.
Over seventy interested individuals and engineers from across the country attended this free event, to learn about practical and cost affective signalling and telecommunication solutions that are already in development or that have been commissioned on minor railways around the UK.
Park Signalling had the pleasure of undertaking a technical presentation at the event regarding their DiBloC digital token machine product. John Richmond, Business Development Manager and Robin Lee, Senior Engineer, provided a detailed review of the company and the product, from the initial idea to its development and delivery. The DiBloC product was on display and demonstrated at the event by John Chaddock, Design Engineer. It is planned that 2020 will see a number of trial sites on Network Rail infrastructure with the DiBloC product being introduced.
Whilst other railway companies provided trade information and sponsorship for this event, those whom attended had the opportunity to network with other like minded people, view the railway museum and the preserved Wrangaton Signal Box, whilst enjoying a hearty buffet meal at lunchtime.
