Unipart Rail has become one of the first companies in the UK rail industry to be approved to the International Collaborative business relationship management systems ISO 44001:2017 Standard. The new Standard is the international equivalent of BS11000 which Unipart Rail has held for the past 5 years. The company was audited by BSI and their Assessment Report commented “that collaborative working is integral to the organisation's philosophy and supports the achievement of the organisations objectives”. The scope of the ISO44001 Standard covers all of Unipart Rail’s operational sites in the UK.
Collaborative working is an integral part of the Customer Engagement system that is deployed by Unipart Rail to form stronger relationships with customers both in the UK and internationally. It is also envisaged that the company will extend the collaborative working practices to cover key suppliers to further develop these close relationships that Unipart Rail’s customers depend upon.
George Tillier, MD Products of Unipart Rail, commented that “I am delighted that we have successfully completed our transition to the new International Standard and this once again puts us at the forefront of the Rail sector in gaining this approval that will no doubt assist us in developing strategic relationships with our targeted customers.
