Unipart Rail welcomed Minister of State for Transport Huw Merriman MP to its Doncaster headquarters Jupiter House on 9 June.
Responsible for Rail and HS2, Huw Merriman was eager to discover more about Unipart Rail’s position as a key performance-improving supply chain and technology partner to the rail industry.
Doncaster Central MP Dame Rosie Winterton also attended in her third trip to Jupiter House since 2021, when she visited the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network hub, a partnership between academia and industry.
The Unipart Rail team demonstrated some of their performance improving technologies designed to increase efficiency and sustainability, and reduce cost and maintenance.
Neil McNicholas, Unipart Rail Managing Director, hosted the MPs, and discussed Unipart Rail’s successes, capabilities, and innovations, providing a wide range of supply chain solutions, underpinned by a suite of digital and technology products across multiple sectors and markets. Neil also explained how Unipart is the UK’s leading manufacturer of high-performance electric vehicle battery packs at Hyperbat.
