Unipart Rail recognises that we need to invest in talent and develop the leaders of tomorrow. So it is with huge pride that our Ben Slack was awarded ‘Apprentice of the Year’ by Staffordshire University during their Evening of Celebration on 16th May 2022.

Ben has recently completed the Embedded Electronic Systems Design and Development Engineer, Level: 6 (Standard) Apprenticeship, and was awarded a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a First Class Honours.

Ben was selected for this award over 178 other graduating apprentices from a wide range of industries studying a variety of different apprenticeships.

The University was one of the first Higher Education institutions in England to offer apprenticeships and are now of the largest, working collaboratively with over 200 employers. This was their first apprenticeship celebration evening to congratulate their successful apprentice graduates and celebrate the partnership between the University and employer partners.

Adding Value with CSR, Safety, Increased Digital, Increased Performance, Delivered Innovation, Optimised Costs and Reduced Risk.
