Team recognised for contribution to Feltham Phase 1

We are delighted that members of our team provided critical emergency support for the Feltham Phase 1 project, and have been recognised with a Unipart Group 'Mark in Action' award - the recognition of outstanding customer service.

During the Feltham Phase 1 commissioning, Unipart Rail provided its Commissioning Cover service to the project - a 'just in case' service that supports our customers during projects for emergency items.

Over the Easter weekend, the team was called out on three occasions for fuses, AWS magnets and TPWS modules, and responded within minutes of the call to deliver the materials into project just a few hours later.

Barry Kennedy, Deputy Managing Director, UK Rail, Commercial said "Projects can often face last minute requirements for a wide range of materials - we never know what is going to be needed. The team responded swiftly to each request and enabled the project to proceed without delays. I am incredibly proud of their efforts."

Steve Welch - Business Development Manager and the Supply Chain Team, Rich Jackson, Iain Bell and Steve Edwards were all presented with their certificates at a virtual event in July.

Barry continued "Rich Jackson is also retiring after a full career in the industry and is a long service member of our team. We will miss him greatly and I'm very happy to pay tribute to his exemplary customer-facing roles that he has delivered with enthusiasm and skill over the years. Happy retirement, Rich!"
