Value - Corporate Social Responsibility
When it comes to talent, we are very keen to develop our team to help them be the very best that they can, and to recognise outstanding achievement. This recognition of one of our HR team comes in the form of a nomination as 2020 Young Rail Professionals’ Apprentice of the Year.
Stephanie Tweats has been with Unipart Rail for 5 years and during that time has become an integral part of the team.
The YRP awards recognise individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the rail industry, through their outstanding achievements, extraordinary enthusiasm and inspiration to others. They received a huge number of nominations from all functions across the entire rail industr, so be successfully shortlisted is an amazing achievement.
Steph was selected by the 4 members of the YRP North West committee who independantly reviewed all nominations and selected their shortlist.
Stephanie said "It was a bit a bit of a shock to learn that I'd been nominated! You don't do all of the learning and studying to receive an award - you do it to be excellent at the job you love. To receive the nomination is a bit of extra recognition that is brilliant. I'll be nervous now until the final four are anounced!"
What happens next?
A judging panel made up of the YRP National Chair and senior rail representatives from the YRP 2020 Annual Dinner Sponsor (CPC Project Services Ltd) and YRP Platinum Corporate Members are reviewing the shortlist and will select three finalists and the winner. Successful finalists will receive a complimentary invitation to attend the YRP 2020 Annual Dinner where the winner will be announced.
The Young Rail Professional’s 2020 Annual Dinner will be held on the evening of 15 October 2020 and will be held at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
Good luck Stephanie!
