We are delighted to announce our Apprentice Sophie Granville has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Amazon Everywoman Transport and Logistic Awards, celebrating extraordinary women in the transport and logistics sector.
Sophie, who is an Advanced Engineering Apprentice, has been named in the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category at the awards.
Returning for its 13th year, the event in October is an established industry gathering which continues to uncover female role models, identify male agents of change and transform the industry perception.
Sophie Granville, Apprentice Finalist adds: “When I found out I had made it to the finals of the Everywoman in Transport and Logistics apprentice category, I was both shocked and excited! Knowing my work at Unipart is noticed and appreciated is an incredible feeling, especially when I’m just learning on the job and gaining valuable knowledge and experience.”
On behalf of everyone from Unipart Rail, we would like to congratulate Sophie on her achievements and wish her the best of luck for the finals.
Unipart Rail is also sponsoring the Freight Award which will be awarded to a woman who is innovating and excelling in her role within freight.
Kelly Warburton, Managing Director UK Rail Commercial at Unipart Rail adds: “Unipart Rail is honoured to be a partner of the Amazon everywoman in Transport and Logistics awards again for 2020 and we are delighted to be sponsoring the Freight award, designed to recognise women who are innovating and excelling in their role.
