Efficiency through Innovation has produced Simulation!

Park Signalling Ltd has for some time produced and provided the following Network Rail Product Approved Points Operating Equipment Simulators (Dummy Loads):

  • Simulator type SIM101 is for use with 120V HW1000 and HW2000 Series point machines fitted with BICC plug couplers
  • Simulator type SIM201 is for use with Style 63 point machines fitted with ‘Westinghouse’ style plug couplers
  • Simulator type SIM301 is for use with Clamp Locks and In-Bearer Clamp Locks fitted with MIL5015 plug couplers

These individual simulators are portable, battery operated, stand-alone items of test equipment that can simulate the operation of different types of point operating equipment under normal and fault conditions. Each type of simulator uses Normal and Reverse terminology for switch contacts and valve drives where applicable.

These individual simulators do not require routine calibration and are for use to simulate the operation of different types of point operating equipment during pre-commissioning testing of point controls and indications.

Please note that any testing using these simulators does not remove the requirement for full testing and commissioning of the complete point operating system to an authorised plan and procedure.

The Certificate of Acceptance reference is PA05/02981.

The team at Park Signalling are currently developing a number of other simulators for various applications including Solid State Interlocking. If your organisation has a specific requirement for simulators, please contact us at sales@park-signalling.co.uk.
