HD ALT from Unipart Dorman achieves Product Acceptance

Unipart Dorman are pleased to announce the new HD ALT has Network Rail Product Acceptance following the issue of Version 4 of the Certificate of Acceptance PA05/06503 HD ALT Catalogue Number is 094/019441.

On the back of the success of the ALT, we were challenged to deliver the same, but better.

The industry challenge set was, ‘can you give me the same benefits, but for all my signals, including those with heavier, more complex head types and taller posts.?’

This new development enhances the Unipart Dorman Lightweight Signalling, Maintenance Free range. It allows teams to install the majority of signal configurations with tilting structures.  The operation, look and feel are very similar to the ALT and delivers the same benefits and more.

  • Small installation teams

  • Quick and Easy installation

  • Sighting at Ground Level

  • No working at height

  • Maintenance Free Solution

  • Plug Coupled signals

  • Compact Foundations

  • Suitable for installation in the six foot

The HD ALT achieves all of this through a double spring configuration delivering the same lifting force characteristics as the original ALT.   It also adds another 53 head types to the range of fold down signals in a combination of upto 5 separate LED modules and will also allow customers to specify much taller posts for the Level Crossing CCTV Mounting solutions and offset posts where appropriate.
