An exciting new role has been created by the Rail Supply Group, and recruiting is being handled by the Railway Industry Association. The Exports Sector Deal Coordinator will undertake some specific roles within the sector deal, reporting to Noel Travers. This is to initially help kick-start some of the focused research we need to undertake in a short space of time, linked to the UK supply chain and overseas opportunities mapping.
A job description has been developed (click here to see it) and the role offers an excellent high profile opportunity for a candidate to operate at a senior level with both industry and government, which will generate significant positive publicity for the secondee and their employing organisation, helping to build a comprehensive depth and breadth picture of the UK supply chain along with upcoming rail export opportunities.
As per the job description, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to work on the Exports Sector Deal, on secondment, for at least two or three days per week. Whilst the person may be drawn from the rail industry, when in post, they need to remain independent and to allocate activity time with the various parties according to the needs of delivering the related tasks and research.
Suitable candidates should send their CV and a covering letter as to why they would like to be the Exports Sector Deal Coordinator and why they think they would be good for this role to Marie Houlton by close of play on Monday 24th June at marie.houlton@unipartrail.com. Candidates should confirm, in advance, agreement in principle of release by their employer for this role has been agreed.
We are very excited to be leading in the recruitment of this role and we look forward to receiving applications from across the business.
