Unipart Dorman
We are thrilled that our sites in Doncaster, Southport and Crewe have each received their first ever British Safety Council's prestigious Sword of Honour award.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and across the Unipart Group of companies there was a total of 13 Swords of Honour awarded, and forms an important part of our work in driving improvements in Corporate Responsibility.
This comes after earlier in the year, Unipart Group picked up an outstanding achievement award for safety at the International Safety Awards and we received an award in the transportation, distribution and storage category for safety.
Graham Jackson, Managing Director - Manufacturing said "Unipart Rail places a great emphasis on safety throughout the business. We work very hard to make sure that all of our sites are as safe as possible to protect our employees and visitors. We strive to create a safe working environment and encourage personal responsibility for safe behaviour. I am personally very proud of my colleagues in working so hard to create a strong safety culture which is reflected in this prestigious award for our business."
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, said: “On behalf of the trustees and staff of the British Safety Council, I would like to congratulate Unipart Group for their huge commitment to keeping their workplaces safe and healthy and minimising risks to the environment from their organisations’ day-to-day activities.
“All of the Sword and Globe winning organisations share a commitment and resolve to achieving the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management. We are delighted that they are partners in helping achieve our vision that no one should be injured or made ill at work.”
We will be celebrating at the BSC Luncheon on Friday 24th November - we hope to see you there!
