Rail Safety Week at Unipart Rail

Our sites are a mix of offices, logistics centres and workshops, so we have a wide range of activities where safety is our top priority.

Through our weekly and daily Safety Pauses we raise and remind all our colleagues of both the obvious - and less obvious - hazards that face us every day. from the use of mobile phones through to spotting and removing hazards before they become a safety issue.

During Rail Safety Week we are undertaking a campaign reminding ourselves of some of the hazardous activities that are less obvious but in our day-to-day work - like remaining stationary using a mobile phone whilst on our sites, or making sure that you stick to the walkways.

In Crewe we are also working with local primary schools to deliver the message about rail safety in the form of a Poster Competition and safety themes assemblies to promote discussion and raise awareness.
