The Rail Electrification Delivery Group ( REDG ) consisting of representatives including Network Rail, VolkerRail, Carillion and RIA are pictured visiting the Doncaster Overhead Line Assembly Facility.
The facility is a collaboration between VolkerRail and Unipart Rail, bringing off-site factory skills to track-side projects.
Neil Laszkowicz (right) from VolkerRail and Kelly Pepper (third right) from Unipart Rail jointly explained to the visitors how the approach has led to productivity and cost improvements to both the Staffordshire Alliance and REAL Alliance in their upgrading projects, including the introduction of QR code technology via UniTrace to deliver asset management technology at the point of installation.
