Unipart Rail was a proud sponsor of this year’s Doncaster Rail Conference 2016. Hosted during Rail Week and organised by Business Doncaster the event draws delegates from across the country to hear from global organisations about the future of rail.
This year’s event focussed on the importance of Diversity in the workforce for the industry and how this needs to be addressed to close the skills gap in a rapidly growing sector. Industry experts from Skanska, Hitachi Rail, National College for High Speed Rail, Amey, HS2 and Acciona Infrastructure all addressed the importance of tackling this critical issue.
The importance of technology and innovation and how it can transform the future of rail was also addressed by an enlightening presentation by a team from Hacktrain.
Unipart Rail was happy to be able to support another successful and well attended event with the aim of ‘Driving the rail sector forward’.
