Rail workers ride to raise £2k for children’s charity

Unipart Rail was proud to support Porterbrook in their recent cycle ride from Derby to London. A team of hardy employees from Derby cycled 136 miles to London as preparation for an even more gruelling endurance race later this summer.
Staff members from Porterbrook Train Leasing Company rode from their Derby headquarters to the firm’s office near St Pancras on Saturday, 7 May, as part of their training for the upcoming Race the Sun Brecon Beacons event in June in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.
Unipart were able to help by being the 'support crew' to the cyclists, following them along the route, being on hand to provide any assistance they needed. From moral support to much needed food and drink supplies the help from the Unipart support vehicle ensured the 136 mile journey was completed successfully.
