Following the successful achievement of Bulletin 15 product approval status for the SynchroGUIDE with Pennsylvania DOT, Unipart Dorman were delighted to hear that the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission are to pilot the sequential warning light technology on the westbound I76 turnpike Susquehanna River Bridge project.

The project went live on Wednesday 15th June with support from our strategic Work Zone safety partner, Roadsafe Traffic Systems operating out of their Nitro, West Virginia branch office.

The innovative safety technology was demonstrated earlier this month at Turnpike HQ and assuming that the pilots prove as successful as they have in other states, according to Tom Machionne - Manager of Traffic Engineering, the plan is to start expanding deployment in the fall and into next years construction season to obtain larger data sets and work towards the longer term goal of it being rolled out across all work zones by 2017.
