This is a further example of Unipart Rail delivering innovation into the railways - this time in Australia!
It's great example of how our position in the supply chain enables us to identify new products and work with the approval authorities across different countries - and continents - to improve the way the railways operate.
The Steel Sleeper weight is between 250kg and 260kg depending on type and gauge. The sleeper has been tested and is approved for 25 tonne axleloads and is currently being developed for 30 tonne axleloads.
