Across the Unipart Group one of our stated objectives is to win more work within the Utilities sector. I am therefore pleased to announce that on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 Unipart Rail Ltd and Anglian Water Services Ltd (Anglian Water) signed a 5-year contract for the delivery of logistics services across the whole of the Anglian Water operation.
Anglian Water is the largest geographic water and wastewater company in England and Wales, covering 27,500 square km.
Unipart Rail will provide a full logistics service including warehousing, inventory management, distribution services, IT Systems through Remote Warehouse, customer returns and material planning in support of day to day operation and major projects within Anglian Water. The contract will be operated out of the Unipart Rail site at Weedon.
The first phase of this project is to programme manage the move of all materials from Anglian Water’s current site in Peterborough to the Unipart site at Weedon. This critical aspect of the project will require completion by mid January 2017.
