Deep in the heart of Cheshire, the sun shone brightly as our Crewe site was visited by Unipart’s own entry for the ‘Bangers for BEN’ charity event. The car will drive over 2000 miles on its epic 4 day voyage to Maranello, Italy, and back.
The ‘banger’ itself, a 17 year old Toyota Avensis, has been purchased and given a strong Unipart image by Unipart Autoparts in preparation for the journey.
During its fundraising tour of the UK in advance of the event, people dropped spare change into buckets, and some even donating money to sign the car itself!
The fantastic fundraising so far has meant that it has raised nearly £16,000, but we still need support in order to reach the projected target of £25,000. Details of where you can donate can be found here.
In bidding farewell to the car, which is touring Unipart’s divisions over the coming weeks, Unipart Rail wishes the team all the luck with their challenge.
