Anna Jones, Assistant Accountant at Unipart Rail is currently training hard for the 10k Delamere Commando Trail challenge, which is taking place on Sunday 17th July.

Anna is taking part in the challenge to raise money for the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline – a UK charity which supports children affected by the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Anna has done a lot of work to support this charity, which provides a wide range of care and support for children in Ukraine and Belarus.

Their aims include:

  • To bring child victims of the Chernobyl disaster to the UK for recuperative breaks
  • To provide on-going supplies of multi-vitamins and basic healthcare products to the children
  • To  locate children who are in need of recuperative care from outlying villages.
  • To help children to sick to travel by providing chemotherapy medicines to Children’s Cancer Hospitals in Minsk, Gomel and other regions.

Find out more about the charity here.

Good luck Anna!
