New Deputy MD for Unipart Rail

Following Unipart Group’s acquisition of Railpart and NRS from BR we invested heavily and progressively implemented the Unipart Way to ensure that both businesses could deliver very high levels of service and performance for our customers.

Independent benchmarking surveys regularly demonstrate that Unipart Rail are now the best in Europe and over the last few years we have grown the business through diversification and overseas expansion. We now want to build on this success and grow more quickly.  We have a lot to do to grow the relationships with our existing customers and manage our recent acquisitions and so we decided to add some further bench strength to the Group.

We are therefore very pleased to announce the appointment of Noel Travers as Deputy Managing Director for Unipart Rail.

Noel joined us on 27th June and is well known in the UK rail industry where most recently he was MD & Chairman UK (Interim) Bombardier Transportation UK Ltd. Noel will report to John Clayton, and both George Tillier (Managing Director T&RS) and Graham Jackson (Managing Director Infrastructure and Manufacturing) will report to Noel. Both these businesses have clear strategies for growth and these will continue to be pursued with Noel bringing additional contacts and opportunities. This will enable John Clayton to spend time on additional Group responsibilities.
