The Unipart Dorman Wheelers completed their latest challenge this weekend, cycling from Southport to Blackpool (and back again) – all to raise money for the charity Bliss.
15 cyclists and 2 support crew completed the 67 mile journey from the Unipart Dorman site in Southport to Blackpool and back on Saturday 14th May – and the sun was shining all the way!
Founded in 1979 by a group of concerned parents who discovered that no hospital had all the equipment it needed to safely care for premature and sick babies, Bliss was formed to give vulnerable babies the care they deserve and is now the leading UK charity for the 90,000 babies born needing neonatal care every year. Find out more at www.bliss.org.uk.
This latest cycle challenge has raised £345.00 for Bliss, with donations still being made. You can still donate now via the Just Giving page.
We are also delighted to be running our second Cycle2Work Scheme, in association in Halfords, providing employees with access to a brand new bicycle and cycle accessories so that they can cycle to work, therefore reducing our overall carbon footprint.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the challenge, it was a fantastic effort for such a worthy cause.
