Working in partnership with Roadsafe Traffic Systems

Our commitment to improving road safety with SynchroGUIDE

Tags: LED Technology Road Safety Unipart Dorman

Unipart Dorman are delighted to have signed a national strategic partner alliance with Roadsafe Traffic Systems. The partnership will support the promotion of the SynchroGUIDE, our innovative Work Zone taper wireless LED sequential warning light system.

The technology is already an established benchmark safety standard in the United Kingdom and currently features as an option in the FHWA MUTCD to provide better driver recognition of the merging taper.

Nominated by Missouri DOT, the system secured the endorsement of the ASSHTO TIG focus technology award after successful independent field evaluation by SWZDI and is currently formally approved in six other states with pilots/approvals underway in a further ten.

As with any new technology, we recognize that the goal of changing the face of work zone safety across the interstate network will be a long term challenge, however, both parties are committed to improving safety for the driver and the construction teams.
